Our School As A Catholic Community

St Margaret Catholic Primary School
Our Mission Statement
We live the faith not only with our words but through our actions

Our mission is to actively encourage each child to reach their full potential by living out the gospel values in everything we do as Jesus taught us. We deepen their understanding of the Catholic Faith, fostering an awareness of oneself, school, parish and our wider community. We want to inspire and nurture every child within a happy, stimulating and inclusive school where children respect and care for each other.

Our Catholic centred learning environment offers a broad and meaningful curriculum rich in experiences, building knowledge and skills where every child can feel secure and confident. Our children are encouraged to become independent learners and always be ready to face new challenges. We aim to provide an excellent education and instil a lifelong genuine love of learning. We want our children to develop an aspiration for outstanding, personal achievement develop an understanding of the world and to contribute to society as responsible citizens.

We also say the special prayer to Mary and the Our Father

Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is
the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners,
now, and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Our Father

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be
Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy Will be done,
on earth, as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our
daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we
forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us
not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

GIFT Team

Our school GIFT (growing in faith together) team have been hard at work since they applied and were appointed to their positions. We came together and discussed various ideas as to how we could grow the faith in our school and community, creating an action plan for the next term. First on their list was to honour our mothers in some way as Mothering Sunday was approaching, they created flower posies and held a special celebration assembly, which was beautiful. Their second action was to create a prayer station outside the hall for all to access. The prayer station will be updated each month with a different theme, the children decided that this first month our prayers should go to the people of the Ukraine.
